Enters his second season seeking to be the starting quarterback for the Wildcats • Had a breakout season in his first year seeing playing time • Shared time with two other quarterbacks in the starting rotation during the 2012 campaign.

2012 – Redshirt Sophomore Season
First-year player who started in seven of the team’s final eight games of the year • Played in 10 games for the Wildcats in his first year seeing actual playing time • Finished the year ranked atop the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in passing efficiency (151.99) • Led the Wildcats in all passing categories Completed 59.9 percent of his pass attempts and was 85 for 142 for 1,173 yards and 11 touchdowns • Ranked eighth in the league for passing yards per game with 116.3 • Ran for 445 yards on 112 carries out of the spread-option attack • Scored three times on the ground while averaging 44.5 rushing yards per game • Fifth in the MEAC for total offense with 1,608 yards, averaging 160.8 yards per game • Passed for tat least one touchdown in his final nine games of the year • Threw for a touchdown and connected on 8 of 18 passing attempts for a season-high 215 yards in the FCS opening round contest versus Coastal Carolina • Limited to a season-low (-4) yards in the 24-14 loss to the Chanticleers • Rushed 15 times for 86 yards, including a season-long 51-yarder in the 21-16 win over Florida A&M in the annual Florida Blue Florida Classic • Completed a season-best 12 passes on 18 attempts for 120 yards and a touchdown against the Rattlers • Picked up a season-high 113 yards rushing on 11 carries in a 49-7 victory at Savannah State in the MEAC title-clinching contest for the Wildcats • Connected on 9 of 12 passes for 103 yards and a season-high tying two touchdowns in that same game against the Tigers • Limited to just 70 yards passing and a touchdown on 7 of 11 attempts, while rushing for 54 yards in a 24-13 win at Morgan State • Had an uneven performance in the 42-17 win over North Carolina Central, passing for 136 yards and a touchdown on just six completions • Registered a season-long 76-yard completion to Preston Cleckley against the Eagles • Also limited to just 10 yards rushing in that game • Had his first multi-touchdown game passing with two against Norfolk State • Passed for 157 yards on 9 of 11 and rushed for 27 yards in the 48-3 win over the Spartans • Ran for a season-high 111 yards and a season-high two touchdowns in the 28-12 win over North Carolina A&T • Finished with 128 yards passing and a touchdown • Connected on 9 of 12 passing attempts for 96 yards and a touchdown, while running for another touchdown in a 38-26 win at Hampton • Fired in one touchdown on 9 of 17 passing attempts and 79 yards in a 21-14 setback to Tennessee State • Limited to just 69 yards passing on 5 of 9 attempts in the 38-10 loss at BCS opponent Miami (Fla.) during his first action of his career • Redshirted during the 2011 season.

Jefferson High School
Played Quarterback for Mike Fenton at Thomas Jefferson Senior High, leading the Dragons to amazing 12-2 and 15-0 seasons in his junior and senior years • Collected back-to-back District Championships • Won the school's first State Championship in 2010 • Set new FHSAA records for season passing touchdowns (56), passing yardage (4,451), as well as career touchdown passes (109) and breaking Heisman Trophy Winner Tim Tebow's career passing yardage record (Williams wrapped up at 10,384) • Selected as Florida’s “Mr. Football”, given to the top high school player in the state • Awarded the Guy Toph Award, given to the top football player in Hillsborough County • Selected as MaxPreps First Team All-American • Twice selected First Team All-Hillsborough County • Two-time First Team All-Suncoast • Twice named First Team All-Western Conference • Two-time first team all-state • 2010 Suncoast Player of the Year • Tampa Tribune Player of the Year • St. Pete Times Player of the Year • TampaBayOnline Football Athlete of the Year.

Personal
Born January 3, 1992, the son of Nikita Williams and grandson of Nacey Williams • Mother also attended Bethune-Cookman, uncle Reggie Williams at Stillman, and uncle Nat Terry was an All-American at Florida State • Volunteered in high school with Tee Ball at the West Tampa Little League • Majoring in Education.
