HAMPTON, Va. - Nick Addison had two interceptions, one for a 90-yard touchdown, as Bethune-Cookman forced seven Hampton turnovers for a 38-26 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory Saturday night at Armstrong Stadium.

B-CU (3-2 overall, 2-0 MEAC) snapped a two-game losing streak as its defense registered four interceptions, three fumbles and a goal-line stand.

Addison's touchdown helped B-CU take control in the third quarter and gave B-CU a 24-10 lead. The pick was the fourth longest in school history.

The Wildcats expanded their lead to 31-10 on Quentin Williams'  13-yard pass to Isidore Williams with 7:22 remaining in the third.

Hampton (0-4,0-2) closed to 31-17 on Jayl Williamson's 25-yard pass to Jarvis Brown with 8:16 remaining.   B-CU answered with a 20-yard Brodrick Waters to David Blackwell touchdown with 5:37 left set up  when Quincy Quetant scooped up a Hampton fumble and returned it 15 yards to the Hampton 20.

B-CU's running game started strong, helping the Wildcats take a 14-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Williams' 5-yard run capped off a 67-yard opening drive as B-CU took a 7-0 lead. After a Hampton field goal, Rodney Scott's 1-yard run concluded a 65-yard drive that started when Addison forced a fumbled that D.J. Howard recovered to end a Hampton scoring drive.

Dawud Lane and Tyrone Bouie Jr. also had interceptions for B-CU, who was outgained 526-390.  Addison led the Wildcat defense with ten tackles.

Scott led B-CU on the ground with 82 yards on 12 carries, while Jackson rushed for 79 on 16 carries in addition to catching two passes for 23. Chase Terry and Preston Cleckley each had two catches.

Williams started at quarterback, completing nine of 12 passes for 96 yards.

B-CU hosts North Carolina A&T for homecoming next Saturday. Kickoff is 4 p.m.
