DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Bethune-Cookman's Gilbert Rotich was
named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of The Week for the
second time this season, it was announced Thursday.
The sophomore from Nairobi, Kenya won both his singles
matches and combined with Moritz Pronath for a pair of doubles victories as the
Wildcats (5-4) downed Webber International and Hampton to go over .500 for the
season.
For the season, Rotich is 5-1 in singles play, including a
3-0 mark at the No. 6 spot and 5-4 in doubles.
B-CU returns to action on February 26, hosting Mt. Saint
Mary's at City Island Courts.
