B-CU Earns "Best in Nation" Cover Honors from CoSIDA

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Bethune-Cookman Office of Athletic Communications has earned its first “Best in Nation” publications award in the annual College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Publications Contest.

The 2012 Football Team Guide earned the "Best Cover" award among FCS Institutions, not just in CoSIDA District 3, but across the nation.

“I'm very proud to see the Bethune-Cookman name listed in recognition for the quality work that comes through our office,” Assistant Director of Communications Michael Stambaugh said. “This gives us yet another benchmark as we strive to raise the bar for our programs' media relations output.”

The cover depicts the Wildcats' strongest tenets of the 2012 season through the imagery of B-CU's “Legacy Walk”, and was created through the graphic design efforts of Darian McCaskill and Andrew Brown of B-CU's CatEye Network. Editing and finishing work was completed by Stambaugh, who submitted the guide for consideration.

B-CU Athletic Communications has previously earned design awards in the publication honors for posters, most recently earning Best in District recognition for the 2010 softball and 2009 track & field posters.

The 2013 Bethune-Cookman Football season begins on Sunday, September 1 with the season opener at Tennessee State.
