Wildcats Host Fan Days on Sunday, August 19
The day's events will start off with the volleyball Maroon and Gold Match at 1:00 p.m. The Lady Cats advanced to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) tournament semifinals in Isaac Raphael's first season as head coach and return seniors Krysta Gardner and Janeen Davis. The intra-squad scrimmage will precede the debut of the 2012 schedule poster.
Starting at 6:30 p.m., fans can get in close with the 2012 Wildcats football team, also at Moore Gym. A new, special edition poster will be issued at the event, and the players and coaches will be on hand for an autograph session. This event will also provide a unique opportunity in giving fans a chance to have a question and answer session with Head Coach Brian Jenkins. The event will run until 8:30 p.m.
The Wildcats finished 8-3 in 2011 in Jenkins second year coaching at B-CU, finishing as the MEAC Runner-Up. B-CU was picked to finish third in the conference in preseason polls by the league's head coaches and sports information staffs.
The Lady Wildcats volleyball team will open their season on Friday, August 24 versus Charlotte, in Greenville, N.C. Seventeen road dates separate them from playing their home opener in Moore Gym, September 28 against South Carolina State. Wildcat football opens the season September 2, in Orlando, facing Alabama State in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge. The first home football game is September 22 against Tennessee State, in the Hall of Fame Game.
