NORFOLK, Va. - In addition to the big road win at Hampton, Bethune-Cookman has received some additional recognition for last Saturday's performance, in the form of conference recognition for a well-deserving performance in the Wildcats secondary. Officials from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced Nick Addison as the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week, Monday afternoon.

The 6-2 sophomore free safety logged 11 tackles, nine solo, with 0.5 for a loss. Some of his biggest contributions came in pass coverage, picking off two passes, one of which he returned 90-yards for a touchdown in the Wildcats' 38-26 victory. The other killed the final Hampton drive of the first half at the two-yard line. Addison also forced a fumble to aid B-CU to its second conference win of the season and fifth straight over the Pirates.

Addison becomes the second Wildcat to earn the honor this season, and is quickly making a name for himself, ranking second on the team with 40 tackles.

The Wildcats (3-2, 2-0 MEAC) take on North Carolina A&T (2-2, 0-1 MEAC), 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Municipal Stadium for Homecoming.
