Addison Earns FCS Defensive Honors from TSN, Among Others
In earning TSN national player honors, the Tampa native sophomore becomes the first B-CU player to earn FCS Defensive Player of the Week since Ryan Davis after last year's Norfolk State victory (Oct. 20).
A 6-2 free safety, Addison collected 11 tackles (nine solo) against the Hampton Pirates, aiding the Wildcats to a 38-26 road victory, while also making big plays in pass defense, with two interceptions on the night. One interception ended the final Hampton drive of the first half at the two-yard line, while he took the second 90 yards for a touchdown; on B-CU's fourth longest interception return in program history.
Addison also forced one Hampton fumble, resulting in one of B-CU's seven takeaways.
In the CFPA weekly awards, Addison earned FCS Co-Defensive Back of the Week honors.
BSN named him its FCS Defensive Back of the Week.
The Wildcats return to action at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, taking on North Carolina A&T at Municipal Stadium in B-CU's 2012 Homecoming game.
