NORFOLK, Va. - Earning the honor in consecutive weeks, senior cross country leader Kadian Dunkley was named MEAC Women's Performer of the Week, officials from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference announced Wednesday.

A Brooklyn, N.Y. native, Dunkley finished with a time of 18:39.40 for a first place finish at the Great American Cross Country Festival's Robert Shumake HBCU Challenge. Dunkley's time aided the Wildcats to a ninth place finish out of 16 teams. Her finish at the Cary, N.C. meet is the top MEAC time on a 5K course this season, beating out the next performer by 25 seconds.

It's a repeat week for Dunkley, for earned POTW honors last week for her third-place performance at the Embry-Riddle Asics Classic.

Dunkley is joined by teammate Kirsten Taylor this weekend as B-CU's lone competitors in Friday's Florida State Invitational in Tallahassee. The women's 5k is set to begin at 6:20 p.m.
