B-CU Wins In Playoff At SSU
SAVANNAH, Ga. - Bethune-Cookman won the Savannah State Fall Tiger Invitational team title Sunday afternoon, downing Armstrong Atlantic in a playoff.
The Wildcats shot a 285 (three under par) team score on Sunday to make up eleven strokes to catch Armstrong Atlantic, the first-round leader for a 36-hole total of 578. B-CU claimed the team title for the third consecutive year.
B-CU and AASU also battled for individual honors, with JaMichael Jones taking AASU's Shad Tuten into playoff, with Tuten taking the victory. Both shot a 36-hole total of 142, two-under par.
Leon Fricker (75-71 146) finished eighth, while Michael McKnight and Emanuel Petrich tied for 11th at 149.
