TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Bethune-Cookman (2-5) looks to snap a two-game losing streak in its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opener at archrival Florida A&M (1-6) Saturday at 6 p.m.

DECEMBERS TO REMEMBER:  The Wildcats have won the past five December meetings between the two teams, including wins in 2008 and 2010 in Tallahassee.

B-CU UPDATE: B-CU made only four 3FG in the losses to Valparaiso and UNF, who both shot over 50 percent from the field and had a player (Valpo’s Ryan Broekhoff score 26 of 30 and UNF’s Parker Smith 20 of 22) set the tone early. In their wins: the Wildcats won the rebounding battle and outshot both New Orleans and Nebraska-Omaha from 3FG and FT. Adrien Coleman double-doubled in both games as well.

PLAYER UPDATE: Coleman has been in double figures for 10 consecutive games dating back to last season’s Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament. Monday’s 21-point game against UNF was the seventh 20-pointer of his career. Kevin Dukes needs two three-pointers to break the career record of 214 currently held by Freddie Cole.

FAMU UPDATE: The Rattlers, like the Wildcats, are coming off a loss to UNF. The Ospreys downed FAMU 72-47 Thursday. Jamie Adams is averaging 17 points a game, followed by Muhammad Abdul-Aleem (11.1) and Jamari Bradshaw (10.1) Markee Teal averages six rebounds a game.

NEXT UP: Stetson Monday in historic Moore Gymnasium.
