Terrance Hackney Recognized on BSN All-America Team

Jenkins Tabbed FCS Region Two Coach of the Year

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Bethune-Cookman's Terrance Hackney has been named to the Beyond Sports College Network FCS All-America Third Team announced Wednesday.

Hackney, a 6-6, 310-pound sophomore offensive tackle from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is picking up his first BSN All-America award and is one of just 12 underclassmen represented on this year's All-America squad.

On the year, the Ole Miss transfer aided a dominating Wildcats offensive line that paved the way for a MEAC-leading 4,665 yards of total offense, including a league-leading 2, 928 yards on the ground. Hackney's blocking exploits were instrumental in placing Bethune-Cookman atop the conference in scoring offense (29.4 points per game).

Following the regular season, Hackney was voted to the All-MEAC Team after being tabbed MEAC Offensive Lineman of the Year, in addition to being named the league's offensive lineman of the week (October 8) following the Wildcats' victory over North Carolina A&T.

Bethune-Cookman finished the 2012 slate undefeated in the MEAC at 8-0, and advancing to the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Playoffs for the second time under head coach Brian Jenkins, recently completing his third year at the helm in Daytona Beach. The Cats have won two of the last three MEAC crowns.
