Coleman Nets 2nd MEAC Player Of The Week Honors
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman’s Adrien Coleman has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference player of the week for the second time this season, it was announced today (Monday, December 10, 2012).
The 6-5 junior from Atlanta posted the Wildcats’ first recorded triple-double in program history with 18 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists in Saturday’s 85-72 victory over Webber International. Against Stetson, Coleman put in 29 points on 13-of-14 shooting from the field, and that 92.9 field goal percentage was the highest in four years for a Division I player attempting that many shots.
Coleman leads the MEAC in scoring with an average of 18.8 points per game and is second in rebounding with an average of 5.3 per game.
B-CU (4-6) travels to UCF Wednesday and Pittsburgh Saturday. The Pittsburgh game will be shown on ESPN3.com.
