BIG? For the third game of conference play, it is. The Eagles, coming off an 85-62 road win Saturday against Florida A&M and 2-0 in MEAC play, are in position to contend for the early lead with Savannah State and Norfolk State. Bethune-Cookman got into the league win column Saturday with a 72-60 decision over North Carolina A&T and can keep within striking distance of the conference lead with a win.
NCCU-BCU: B-CU leads the all-time series 4-2. NCCU swept the regular season meetings, but B-CU won the MEAC tournament quarterfinal matchup 60-59 on a brilliant defensive play by Stanley Elliott, who took a charge with 20 seconds to play that set up Garrius Holloman's game-winning jumper with six seconds remaining.
ABOUT NCCU: The Eagles (9-7, 2-0) are on a three-game winning streak. Jeremy Ingram leads three Eagles averaging double-figures with a clip of 16.6 per game. For more information, visit www.nccueaglepride.com
