TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Seve Day and Juan Varon registered an upset win at No. 1 doubles, but No. 32 Florida State downed Bethune-Cookman 7-0 Monday afternoon.
Day and Varon recorded an 8-6 victory over the Seminole duo of Andres Bucaro/Benjamin Lock, currently ranked 27th in the nation. However, Florida State had already secured the doubles point and took all six single matches in straight sets to improve to 6-0.
After facing two Atlantic Coast Conference teams, B-CU, now 0-2, returns to action Feb. 1 at home against Palm Beach Atlantic.
