DURHAM, N.C. - Coming off a tough loss at North Carolina A&T, the Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats (10-11, 5-4 MEAC) are looking to close the road swing on a high note, taking on the North Carolina Central Eagles (0-22, 0-9 MEAC) on Monday evening at McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.

The Lady Wildcats are looking to duplicate the result of the first meeting, in which B-CU triumphed in a 55-32 romp at Moore Gymnasium, led by Terrenisha Hollis' 16 point, 10 rebound double-double and 15 points from Chastity René Taylor.

About the North Carolina Eagles

Due in part to NCCU's short bench, the fortunes have not turned around for the Eagles since the first meeting, with the string of losses now growing to 27 straight. NCCU averages 38.1 points per game, but have been able to score at a higher level the past three outings with the return of top scorer Chasidy Williams.

Williams, the only Eagles player averaging in double figures, puts up 10.6 PPG, 6.2 RPG, and grabs a team-high 2.0 SPG. The team's heaviest shooter, she did not play when NCCU traveled to Daytona Beach.

Amber Neely and Tisha Dixon chip in 7.3 PPG and 7.2 PPG, respectively. Dixon leads the team with 8.0 RPG and has 10 blocks on the season.

NCCU's biggest obstacle continues to be turnovers and depth. The Eagles give up 21.9 turnovers per game on 11.7 opponent SPG, while only collecting 7.2 steals of their own. With only eight players on the roster, defensive aggressiveness is impeded by foul concerns.

About the Lady Wildcats

B-CU struggled to score against N.C. A&T, falling 56-31 in Greensboro, but balanced out the game in the second half, led by 71 percent shooting from Shakeyia Colyer with 12 points. She averages 6.3 PPG, 4.0 RPG and 2.4 assists per outing.

The leaders from the previous meeting, Taylor and Hollis, lead the team with 14.3 and 8.7 PPG, respectively. Hollis tops the team in takeaways with 2.2 SPG and averages 5.3 RPG.

Meanwhile, North Carolina natives Taylor Houston (2.6 PPG, 2.0 RPG) and Amanda Hairston (8.7 PPG, 6.7 RPG) are looking to make a statement in their homecoming.
