DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - With two home contests remaining in the 2012-13 season, the Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats (11-12, 6-5 MEAC) look to secure a pair of rematch victories as they head into the homestretch leading to the MEAC tournament, with South Carolina State (15-7, 7-4 MEAC) coming to Richard V. Moore Gymnasium.

Two things that could be learned from the first matchup between these two teams, in which SCSU topped B-CU 58-39, in spite of a five-point Lady Wildcats' halftime lead. Firstly, B-CU is capable of stopping SCSU's transition game and offensive attack. Second, they have to keep the pressure on the Lady Bulldogs and play a complete game to earn the victory.

At the game in Orangeburg, SCSU held B-CU to just 14 points in the second half after trailing 25-20 at half.

Notes on the South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs
The Lady Bulldogs may have had their eyes opened this week, after barely defeating North Carolina Central (1-24, 1-11 MEAC), in a 40-39 win on Monday.

Since topping the Lady Wildcats, SCSU is 4-2 with four of those games at home. Held to just four points in the first outing, Tiara Knotts continues to lead the Lady Bulldogs with 13.3 PPG and 2.6 SPG. Containing her scoring could be a huge factor in playing the game at Moore Gymnasium.

Stepping up in Knotts' lull, Ashley Clarke scored 15 in the first go-around with the Lady Wildcats, and averages 10.7 PPG, along with 6.9 RPG. Kourtney Williams also logged double figures (11) against B-CU and has contributed an average of 8.1 PPG on the year.

Holding onto the ball and forcing the Lady Bulldogs into miscues will be the most important stats of the game on Saturday, likely to determine the outcome.

Notes on the Lady Wildcats
Chastity René Taylor continues to lead the B-CU scoring on the season with 13.5 PPG, but has hit a scoring slump, falling short of double figures the last three outings. Getting her rolling again, in front of the home crowd, will allow B-CU to spread the floor on SCSU and attack more inside.

Jasmine Evans stepped up in Orangeburg with 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting, but will she have the same impact in this game? Terrenisha Hollis is a huge factor when she's scoring, averaging 9.0 PPG, 5.3 RPG, while also heading up the defensive effort with 2.2 SPG.

With no on-court seniors are on the roster, B-CU will honor a pair of seniors in the classroom before Saturday's game. Both redshirt juniors, point guard Shakeyia Colyer and forward Sharnese Neal will be recognized as part of B-CU's annual Senior Day celebration.
