B-CU Drops Two At FAU Tournament

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman dropped its two first  games of the FAU Parent’s Weekend Tournament Friday, falling 7-0 to Iowa State and 8-0 to host FAU.

The Wildcats  (4-26) face Dartmouth Saturday at 11:15 a.m.

IOWA STATE 7, B-CU 0

The Cyclones (13-15) scored two in the first inning and led the rest of the way.

Calesha Shelley registered B-CU’s lone hit on a first-inning single.

FAU 8, B-CU 0

FAU’s Taylor Fawbush no-hit the Wildcats, walking three and striking out seven for the Owls (19-18), who scored three in the fourth and again in the sixth.

Simone Ceasar reached base twice for B-CU on a fielder’s choice and a two-base error. Aurelia Gamch, Michelle Banuelos-Smith and Shamaria Engram each drew a walk.
