Play Suspended at FAMU Spring Invitational
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Play for the 2013 Florida A&M University Spring Invitational was suspended early Saturday afternoon at the Southwood Golf Club just seven holes into the first round due to heavy rain in the Tallahassee area. Seven teams are participating in this year’s spring invite hosted by the FAMU Rattlers.
Action is set to resume Sunday at 8:30 a.m. (EST). Players will begin in a shotgun start on the hole in which they left off Saturday. Originally scheduled as a 72-hole event across two days (March 23-24), the annual tournament will now be shortened to an 18-hole format to accommodate travel.
