DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. - Cary White and Isidore Jackson each scored three touchdowns as No. 17/14 Bethune-Cookman roared to a 48-21 victory over Savannah State in the Third Annual Biker Classic before a Municipal Stadium crowd of 4,693 on Saturday.

The Wildcats (6-1 overall, 3-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) won their 17th consecutive MEAC game and set the stage for a Homecoming classic next Saturday against South Carolina State that will have major implications for the conference title. South Carolina State is also 3-0 in league play.

B-CU scored early and often, registering touchdowns on six of its seven first half possessions, as the Wildcats downed the Tigers (1-7, 0-4 MEAC) for the 14th consecutive time.

It only took one play for the Wildcats to register their first score. After a 42-yard Preston Cleckley punt return put the ball on the Savannah State 16, Quentin Williams hit Jackson out of the backfield for a 16-yard score just over two minutes into the contest.

After that, White scored on runs of one, 24 and 12 yards to become the first Wildcat to score three touchdowns in a game since David Blackwell versus Savannah State in 2011.

Savannah State got on the board with a 76-yard Leon Prunty to Simon Heyward strike with 10:13 in the first half, narrowing the margin at 28-7.

Jackson rushed for a pair of two-yard touchdowns to extend the Wildcats lead to 42-7 at halftime. The scores moved him into a tie with Jimmie Russell (2004-07) for fourth on the career rushing touchdown list with 29 in his career.

Michael D. Jones added a fourth-quarter score on the ground for B-CU, which finished with 465 yards of total offense.

White finished with 69 yards on seven carries, while Jackson rushed 12 times for 56 yards and also caught three passes for 34 yards -- one of nine different receivers to catch a pass. Sophomore Jontavious Carter also had three catches, and Eddie Poole extended his pass-catching streak to 42 games.

Williams finished 10-of-14 passing for 143 yards, while Brodrick Waters was 5-of-9 for 49 yards.

Defensively, Jarkevis Fields, Jocelyn Borgella and Tim Burke registered interceptions for the Cats.

Bethune-Cookman hosts South Carolina State on Oct. 26 at Municipal Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
