About the Hatters
The Hatters have been lagging in the record in 2014 but have had flashes of brilliance, largely behind inconsistency in hitting and a 4.86 team ERA, but that’s no reason to discount this game. Every game is tough when you’re playing a rival from the next town over.

Pacing the Hatters offensively is first baseman Patrick Mazeika, who tops the team with a .397 average on 46 hits, including 12 doubles. He has 12 RBI, but is the primary run scorer, topping the squad with 24.

Though Mazeika is the only Stetson batter over the .300 mark, those just below the line are equally dangerous. Most notably of the group, Garrett Russini leads the team with 20 RBI and has scored 16 RBI, logging nine doubles, four triples and two homers.

About the Wildcats
The Wildcats are looking to collect the Stetson season sweep for the first time since 1995, while extending the streak opened on the weekend. Finding the big hit inning is going to be key, as these teams match-up well.

Since settling into the leadoff position, first baseman Eric Sams has put up multiple hits in the last five games, and leads the team with a .382 average, on 47 hits, including 11 doubles. He has 14 RBI and also leads the team in scoring runs, at 28. Remaining at the top with Sams, second baseman Matt Noble hits .327 with 18 runs scored and 13 RBI. Outfielder Eros Modena has been a strong presence of late, batting .322 with 17 RBI and 10 runs scored.
