Raleigh [N.C.] Regional: @BCUGolf Tees Off
The Wildcats are taking part in the Raleigh [N.C.] Regional, hosted by N.C. State University at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club.
Bethune-Cookman earned the No. 13 seed in the 13-team field that includes Atlantic Coast Conference champion Georgia Tech as the regional’s top seed. Other participating teams include Washington, Florida State, Texas A&M, Mercer, Kentucky, Texas Tech, Wake Forest, South Alabama, Memphis, Minnesota and Rice.
Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 15-17. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
Fresh off the heels of successuly defending their PGA National Minority Championship from a season ago, the Wildcats led all three days at their last event held on the Wanamaker Course in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
