DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman University Head Volleyball Coach Isaac Raphael today officially announced the addition of Rechez Lindsay to the Lady Wildcat roster.

The freshman libero from Trinidad and Tobago is current active with her national team and is current competing at the Pan-American Cup in Mexico City and Pachuca, Mexico.  The tournament is a qualifier to next year’s FIVB World Grand Prix.

Lindsey recently returned from Cuba with the T&T National Team where they placed second to the host nation in the Women’s World Championship qualifier.

“She’s a gym rat and I love gym rats,” Raphael said. “Rechez is quick and has excellent court sense. She’s going to be a great addition to our team.”

Lindsay joins juniors Delicia Pierre and Phylecia Armstrong to become the third Trinidad and Tobago native on the B-CU resident. The Lady Wildcats graduated all-time digs leader Jennifer Jimenez after 2013.

B-CU begins its 2014 season August 29 at the Florida Atlantic tournament against host FAU and Stetson.
