NORFOLK, Va. – Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Commissioner Dr. Dennis E. Thomas named the recipients of the 2013-14 Post Graduate Scholarship on Wednesday, and Bethune-Cookman University football student-athlete Nesly Marcellon was honored. The postgraduate scholarship was awarded in the amount of $5,000.

Recently completing his final year of eligibility for the Wildcats football team and earning his degree from Bethune-Cookman University in May 2014, Marcellon is the first B-CU football player to earn this award under current head coach Brian Jenkins.

During the 2013 season, Marcellon played in all 13 games for the Wildcats, starting in 10 of those contests. He collected 37 tackles (11 primary) and finished sixth on the squad with seven tackles for loss. He posted three quarterback sacks, two hurries and forced one fumble in helping the Cats to their third MEAC crown in four seasons under Jenkins.
