DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman cross country made the return trip to the Florida A&M Rattlers to take on their course in Tallahassee this past weekend in the Florida A&M Invitational. Led by Ricy Brown, both teams finished third for the Wildcats.

Freshman Ricy Brown topped all B-CU runners, taking on the men's 8k and finishing fourth with a time of 26:28.92. Curtis Riggins came in next for the `Cats, finishing 15th in a time of 28:44.10. This marks the third time this season Brown has finished in the top five of a meet.

On the women's side, LaShondra Wilbon led the team, finishing 14th in a time of 23:13.78 in the 5k. The remaining Wildcats finished 17-20, led by Alexandria Gilliam at 25:29.09.

Both teams finished third in the meet, with the men accumulating 60 points and 79 for the women.

The Wildcats return to competition in Daytona Beach at the Embry-Riddle Classic at 7 a.m. on October 8.
