The 5-10 Miami native snagged two key interceptions to aid the Wildcats to a 13-point conference victory over South Carolina State. His two picks led to a game-tying scoring drive in the first half and later helped to secure the win for B-CU with a pick in the endzone on SCSU's final push. He also recorded one solo tackle in the win.
Hanks adds to the earlier honor for the week as a College Football Performance Awards FCS Honorable Mention Defensive Back of the Week.
The Wildcats (2-0, 1-0 MEAC) return to south Florida and Miami Gardens to face the Miami Hurricanes. In last year's loss, the Wildcats led UM all but moments of the first half and maintained a one-score game until just before the fourth quarter.
