Physical player that started a majority of the games at linebacker last season for the Wildcats • Great pass defensive linebacker with good hands and read skills • Should contend for All-MEAC honors once again this season and could be one of the top linebackers in the country.

2012 – Junior Season
Selected as the team’s Keystone Award winner following the season • Anchored the defensive unit that finished second in the MEAC for scoring defense • Ranked atop the team with 103 tackles, six tackles for losses and a sack • Also forced a fumble, broke up four passes and had a single quarterback hurry • Grabbed in 42 solo tackles and 61 assisted stops on the year • Helped Bethune-Cookman finish third in total defense in the MEAC • Led a team that finished 10th nationally in scoring defense and second in the MEAC in that category • Team finished third in the MEAC in rushing defense and 37th in the nation • Dropped back and helped the B-CU squad finish third nationally in passes intercepted • Fields ended the year sixth in the league for total tackles • Started in 10-of-12 games for the Maroon and Gold • Recorded a season-high 15 tackles in the FCS Playoff game against Coastal Carolina • Had 11 tackles in the Florida Blue Florida Classic against Florida A&M, picking up eight solo stops in the 21-16 win • Tallied a season-high tying two tackles-for-loss against the Rattlers •  Only had five tackles against Savannah State in the MEAC-clinching victory on the road • Nine key stops (six assisted) at Morgan State, including an assisted tackle-for-loss and a pass deflection • Also picked up nine stops against North Carolina Central (seven assisted) and a half tackle-for-loss • Seven tackles and a tackle-for-loss in a Homecoming victory over North Carolina A&T • Disrupted the Hampton offense with 10 tackles, a pass breakup and a forced fumble in a 38-26 victory on the road • Registered 14 tackles (season-high 11 assisted) against Tennessee State • Hauled in a team-high tying seven stops (six solo) at BCS opponent Miami (Fla.) • Limited to just one tackles due to injury at South Carolina State in a 27-14 come-from-behind win for the Wildcats • Began the year with a game-high 10 tackles (six assisted), two tackles-for-loss and a sack in a victory coming against Alabama State in the season-opening MEAC/SWAC Challenge.

2011 – Sophomore Season
Started all 11 games at the middle linebacker position • Led the team with 76 tackles (31 solo) • Also collected six tackles-for-loss for a total of 18 yards, one sack for a loss of eight yards, one forced fumble, one interception, one pass break-up and one quarterback hurry • Had at least three tackles in every contest on the season • Registered a team-high and personal season-high game tackle mark of 12 in the crucial ESPNU-televised win at Norfolk State, also forcing a Spartans fumble • Logged double-digit tackles in two other games against South Carolina State and North Carolina A&T • Tallied eight tackles, with all of them coming by way of a solo performance, at BCS opponent Miami (Fla.).

2010 – Redshirt Freshman Season
Appeared in 11-of-12 games as a linebacker for the Wildcats, starting in two of those contests • Ranked 10th on the team with 33 total tackles (15 solo) • Forced one fumble • Snatched up the fumble jarred loose by fellow linebacker Ryan Lewis against Howard, putting six points on the board for B-CU with the recovery for a touchdown • Had a season-high eight tackles in the FCS Playoff game vs. New Hampshire • Also had seven stops against North Carolina A&T in a nationally-televised contest on ESPNU at home • Redshirted in 2009.

Seminole High School
Concluded his high school career at Seminole High School with a 13-2 record under head coach Mike Cullison • Key contributor of the 2009 District and State 6-A FHSAA championship team • Member of the 2008 FHSAA State Championship team that defeated Miami Northwestern High School in Orlando • Played in the Seminole County All-Star Game • Was a state championship level weightlifter for two years.

Born on March 14 in his hometown of Sanford, Fla. • Son of Joe and Donna Fields • Has done volunteer service with the West Sanford Boys & Girls Club • Majoring in Criminal Justice in Bethune-Cookman.
