WOMEN’S UPDATE: Hampton (24-4 overall, 13-1 MEAC) hopes to hold its one-game lead over Florida A&M and Howard for the conference regular season title. B-CU (10-16,7-7) has won three straight and is one game behind North Carolina A&T for the fifth seed in next week’s MEAC tournament in Winston-Salem, N.C. Demetria Frank, named MEAC defensive player of the week Monday afternoon, is still ranked second in Division in steals per game with an average of 4.2 per game.

MEN’S GAME: B-CU (13-16,9-4) was eliminated from the regular season title race Saturday, but can still earn a first-round bye with two wins and two losses from Delaware State. Hampton (10-18, 6-8 MEAC) beat Florida A&M 74-59 behind senior guard Darrion Pellum, who scored a team- and game-high 22 points, while senior point guard Mike Tuitt added 19 points and seven rebounds. B-CU’s Garrius Holloman posted his fifth double-double of the season with a 10-12 against NSU.
