About The Lady Wildcats
The Lady Wildcats opened the season with two tough road games in a pair of the most challenging venues in the state of Florida, falling to Florida and Florida Gulf Coast in consecutive games. Now the Lady Wildcats look to keep home opener fortunes rolling as they face St. Thomas in the inaugural home contest of the 2013-14 season.

Senior guard Chastity René Taylor leads the way for B-CU in scoring, putting up 13.0 PPG on 50 percent shooting from the floor, including 44.4 percent from behind the arc. Point guard Shakeyia Colyer has also been giving B-CU its due, averaging 8.0 PPG and 7.5 RPG, snagging a career-first double double in the opener at UF. Adding 5.0 PPG, combo guard/forward Terrenisha Hollis has been cleaning the glass for B-CU as well, grabbing 6.0 RPG.

The Key for the Lady Wildcats will be to keep turnovers under control and finish at the free throw line. Securing both of those stats will lead B-CU to success against the Bobcats.

About the Bobcats
The St. Thomas ladies opened at home on Nov. 5 against Reinhardt, falling to the Lady Eagles in a 75-70 shootout. Reinhardt is the new home base for former B-CU men’s basketball trainer Kellen Shervington. Against the Lady Eagles, STU was led by senior forward Jasmine Sakers, who tallied 20 points and eight (8) rebounds. Last season, Sakers averaged eight (8) points and five (5) rebounds. Joining in the effort for STU, sophomore guard Jessica Montalvo put up 18 and grabbed a pair of steals.

The Bobcats are on their way, offensively, to finding replacements for lost starters Constina Cousins and Dannisha Pierce, who both averaged over 13 PPG. However, the third-highest scorer from 2012-13 returns in senior guard Berna Miranda, who also put up 13 against RU.

Home Openers Lead the Way
The Lady Wildcats are 5-0 in home openers under sixth-year Head Coach Vanessa Blair. B-CU is 21-9 in home openers in the recorded history of the program.
